This month’s image ☝️ – The saltbush (Atriplex nummularia) thrives in Australia’s semi-arid and arid regions, but can tolerate frost, severe droughts as well as periodic flooding. This extremely hardy native shrub – long valued in Aboriginal communities for its medicinal, culinary and other qualities – is increasingly popping up on trendy menus as a versatile bush food.
