Join us for an exciting in-person event that will delve into the transformation of the Indo-Pacific order. Dr. Charles Edel will discuss the profound implications of the AUKUS agreement and its impact on the regional order. AUKUS, a unique mini-lateral, brings together Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, spawning new transfers of technology and sparking defense innovation.
Dr. Charles Edel is the inaugural Australia Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Previously he taught at the University of Sydney, and was also a senior fellow at the United States Studies Centre. He served on the U.S. secretary of state’s Policy Planning Staff from 2015 to 2017 and was a professor of strategy and policy at the U.S. Naval War College.
