Philip Forrest AM is an Australian businessman who has resided in the ASEAN region since 1982, with Singapore as his home since 1991. Recognized for his notable contributions to Australia-Singapore business relations, Forrest was honoured with the prestigious Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2022. In 2011, he received the President’s Medal from the Australian Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, in recognition of his significant role in strengthening the Asia/Australia commercial relationship.
Forrest holds influential positions in esteemed organisations, including the Governing Council of the Singapore Institute of Directors and advisory board roles at James Cook University Singapore Campus and the Council of Australian Alumni Singapore. Throughout his career, he has made valuable contributions to renowned chambers of commerce, including the Singapore Business Federation, the Australian Chamber of Commerce (where he served as president), the Australia-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, the British Chamber of Commerce, the Australia-Thai Chamber of Commerce (where he was also president), and the Association of Banks in Singapore.
As a seasoned non-executive director, Forrest leverages his extensive experience to benefit several companies, particularly those with Australian connections. He previously held the position of Asia Head for ANZ Bank and gained valuable insights during his 15-year tenure with Citibank across multiple countries.
