Young Leaders Program: The Media & Marketing Revolution – How Technology is Changing the Landscape Forever

March 19 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm AEDT

Rapid-paced technological advances are transforming media, marketing campaigns, and how to connect with customers on a daily basis. How are organisations and those responsible for messaging responding with more personalised and immersive campaigns and creating more integrated ecosystems? And what major trends and shaping the media landscape right now?

Join Peter Tonagh to understand how the interface between brands and people is being transformed, and how creative and digital analytics trends are impacting the future of traditional communication channels, social media, and e-commerce.

Peter Tonagh has a background as a senior executive in large Australian media companies and as a Partner of The Boston Consulting Group. More recently, he has a portfolio of roles including board positions and advisory/mentoring roles with start-up organisations, many of which he was an early investor in. Peter is currently the Deputy Chair of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, as well as the Chairman of The Quantium Group Holdings Pty Limited, GTN Limited, and ACT Media Ventures. He is also the Chairman of Bus Stop Films – a not-for-profit organisation supporting inclusion in the film and television industry. Peter previously worked for News Corporation entities for nearly fourteen years in senior executive roles across each of the key Australian businesses, including as Chief Executive Officer of Foxtel, REA, and News Corp Australia. More recently he led the “rescue” of AAP, Australia’s newswire service, transforming it to be a sustainable, not-for-profit organisation. Before joining the News Corp group, Peter spent fifteen years with The Boston Consulting Group, working across Australia and New Zealand and throughout Asia. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD, Europe’s leading business school, where he graduated on the Dean’s Merit List. He recently completed the Harvard Business Analytics Programme.
