Energy Working Group Update – Part 2

November 4, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm AEDT

Becoming carbon neutral is one of the most discussed topics globally and China is a major player in that transition. Following on from Part 1 in the Green Energy Industry Update series, the second installment will provide an analysis on how China’s domestic energy production, construction industry and diversification of energy supply are all contributing to a lower carbon future.

In this update we will examine what opportunities this presents for the various parts of the energy value chain. Jess Brown, Counsellor for the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources for the Australian Embassy in Beijing will moderate the session whilst guest speakers Jim Taylor, CEO at Sino Gas & Energy and Board Director of AustCham China and Glenn Bailey, General Manager at SinoStruct, will share their opinion and experiences with the audience.

The seminar intends to examine China’s green energy targets with a focus on President Xi’s pledge to make China “carbon neutral” by 2060 and peak carbon emissions before 2030, and how technology, renewable and new energies will be used to achieve this. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to access priceless insights from a rapidly evolving industry as the energy one is.
