Philip Aiken AM is a highly accomplished Australian business leader with an extensive international career spanning energy, resources, and industrial sectors. Over several decades, he has held senior executive and board positions across Australia, the United Kingdom, and beyond.

Philip’s executive career includes serving as President of BHP Energy and BHP Petroleum, Chief Executive Officer of BTR Nylex, and Managing Director of BOC Gases Europe and BOC South Pacific, where he played pivotal roles in driving growth, operational excellence, and strategic transformation.

Throughout his distinguished career, Philip has contributed to the governance and strategic direction of leading global companies, serving on 12 public company boards. His board leadership includes roles as Chair of Balfour Beatty, Aveva Group, and Robert Walters, as well as Non-Executive Director positions with National Grid, Newmont Mining, and Newcrest Mining.

In recognition of his contributions to business and international trade, Philip was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

Currently, he serves as a Director of BIAC (Business at OECD), where he supports policy dialogue between the private sector and the OECD, and as Senior Advisor to Fleetwood Strategy, providing strategic counsel on corporate governance and international business development.

Philip is widely respected for his strategic insight, global business acumen, and commitment to fostering collaboration between industry, government, and international organizations.
