Peter Osborne is a distinguished business leader and champion of Australian industry across Asia, supporting the growth of many now-global companies into the region over the past 30 years. 

A former trade diplomat-turned-corporate executive, Peter has spent the past three decades living and working in Asia, predominantly in Greater China. He started with the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) in 1986, and went on to become China Country Manager, overseeing a network of 13 offices assisting Australian companies with export and investment to China. In 2009, he took a role as Asia Managing Director of leading Australian natural health company, Blackmores, overseeing the $340 million business as it grew across 15 geographies across the Asia region. In 2020, he stepped out of the C-suite and into his current portfolio career, as an advisor, board director and investor in a range of companies. Over the past three years, his strategic guidance has supported more than 30 global companies to propel their successful market entry and growth into China and the wider Asia region, across industries including food, healthcare, skincare, cosmetics, and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods). 

As Vice-Chairman of China Association for Quality Inspection and a special research fellow at Tsinghua University, Peter remains a respected thought leader, continuously fostering Australia’s engagement and prosperity in Asia. Beyond the boardroom, Peter has a deep philanthropic passion with a focus on children’s health & education particularly in remote communities. He is a supporter of Adara Development, SurfAid, Bhutan Dorji Lingpa Foundation and other charities operating across the South Pacific, Indonesia, Uganda, Nepal, and Bhutan.
