Patrick Loftus-Hills is Chair of Advance Global Australians AMER (North, Central, and South America).

He is a seasoned investment banker focused on metals and mining at Moelis & Company in New York and sits on a variety of company and non-profit boards. 

 Patrick’s early years were spent in country Western Australia following which he graduated in Science and Law from Monash University. He was an industrial chemist and lawyer with BHP and as a lawyer with Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst).

In 1998, Patrick joined Macquarie Bank as an investment banker.   He later joined UBS in Australia and subsequently worked for UBS in New York and Hong Kong.   He returned to New York in 2011 when he joined Moelis & Company.

With over 35 years of experience, Patrick has advised almost every major global mining company on a range of transactions, including cross-border M&A, capital raisings and restructurings. He has completed numerous significant financial advisory transactions for companies listed on all of the world’s major stock exchanges.

Patrick is currently a Non-Executive Director of Ivanhoe Electric (NYSE: IE), an Advisor to Sweetwater Royalties LLC, an Orion Resource Partners portfolio company, and a Senior Advisor to Oryx Global Partners.  He is a passionate supporter of education and the arts and is Chair of the Monash University US Leadership Council, Co-Chair of the US Friends of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and Vice Chair of the AUS USA Foundation.
