Prakash Rajah is a Managing Director at the Blackstone Group, the largest global alternative asset manager, where he focuses on private equity investments in the technology, healthcare and leisure & entertainment sectors. His portfolio companies include Crown Resorts, acquired by Blackstone in June 2022 and Nucleus Network, a leading clinical trial business, acquired in March 2022.
Prior to Blackstone, Prakash was a Vice President at Brookfield Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Brookfield Asset Management, joining upon its entrance into the Australian market. He also worked as part of the Brookfield Special Opportunities Program (BSOP) in both the Sydney and New York offices, covering investment strategies across the capital structure. Prior to Brookfield, Prakash worked in mergers and acquisitions advisory at Goldman Sachs.
Prakash was born in Singapore and grew up in Adelaide. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, where he was a Chancellor’s Scholar, and has First Class Honours in Finance from the University of Sydney, where he received the Joye Medal as the top student within his cohort. Prakash is also a member of the Atelier Council at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, driving philanthropy, events and community outreach for the arts.
