Catherine Goodwin-Gracia

Catherine is a dynamic networker, who has obtained extensive experience and connections across several industries, from performing arts and recruitment consulting to working several years for Citigroup’s European Headquarters in the UK.  Catherine was based in London for four years and eventually transferred to Paris in 2002.

Born and educated in Sydney, Catherine ventured overseas at the age of 20, and has lived and worked in Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, London and Paris.  Catherine was promoted as Vice President & Senior Control Officer, responsible for overseeing the Information Security compliance management program and related risk management disciplines across the EMEA region, reporting to the UK and US Head office.

In 2008, Catherine set up her own consultancy to represent clients as a Networker and Events PR consultant for new software service providers, specialising in Information Security.   Since then, her consultancy has evolved to represent law firms in the area of Intellectual Property. In this capacity, Catherine has built an enviable reputation for developing business for her clients through her networking skills and representing them as a Public Relations specialist, bringing business to Europe from the US and EMEA regions.

Over the past three years, Catherine has published articles for leading Intellectual Property media and communications magazines, which also includes online publications.

Catherine has been representative on several Not-for-Profit Boards over the past ten years. In particular, she was the first Australian to be nominated as the Lead Co-Chair for the US Embassy in Paris’s OSAC Country Chapter.  OSAC is a not-for-profit security management membership group for the US Department of State, which ultimately reports to the Secretary of State for the US Government. During her tenure, memberships of US and UK companies grew threefold to help organisations work together in communications across the Paris and regional departments of France.  As part of her role, Catherine advised organisations and Senior Security Management on strategies to help strengthen Security, both physical and technological, particularly in regard to cybersecurity and information security. Some of the organisations Catherine brought into the OSAC France group include Microsoft, Apple, Google, JP Morgan, HSBC, Barclays Bank, Citigroup, Coca-Cola, Marriott Hotels Group, Xerox, Caterpillar and Disney to name a few.  Catherine sat as the Chair for Advance France from 2009 to 2013 and is looking forward to re-engaging and developing opportunities for the Australian community in Paris and across the French regions this Spring.

Catherine lives in the Western Suburbs of Paris with her French husband and three young children.
