We are looking to appoint an outstanding individual to the role of Professor who will, in the first instance, take on the role of Head of School for three years. The person appointed would have had successful experience in strategic management and leadership within a University Education department, have knowledge and expertise in Education as a discipline, be familiar with the UK government’s policies relating to Higher Education and how these impact on universities, and also in the professional aspects of the education of teachers (particularly initial teacher education). They will also have excellent organisational skills to lead the operation of a complex School.
