APS Reform is a once in a generation change to build a stronger Australian Public Service that delivers better outcomes for the community, acts as a model employer and contributes to a fairer and more inclusive Australia.

The APS Reform Office is seeking a talented First Nations Systems Leader to provide dedicated senior leadership within the APS Reform Office and whole-of-Government leadership across the APS. You will build connections and drive change across the APS to ensure the APS Reform agenda mutually reinforces the Government’s commitment to the National Agreement on Closing the Gap and progresses service-wide changes that support genuine partnerships with First Nations people.

Within the APS Reform Agenda, the National Agreement on Closing the Gap is embedded at a foundational level, with APS Reform initiatives driving action toward Priority Reform outcomes.

You will provide clarity to agencies on the common goals across the two agendas, and drive the action needed to deliver APS Reform outcomes, particularly to build the cultural capability of the APS, and embed initiatives that support government to put people and communities at the centre of decision-making.
