Doctors Without Borders USA is seeking a Director of Mass Engagement to drive our donor engagement initiatives and accelerate revenue and donor growth across entry-level: one-time and sustaining donors. This critical leadership role demands a proactive, collaborative, and strategic thinker, with a strong background in mass market fundraising, a flexible, data-driven mindset and a track record of managing high-dollar revenue and expense budgets.
The Director of Mass Engagement is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and management of the mass donor audience program. The program engages the US mass market via multichannel strategy to position MSF as the international emergency medical relief organization of choice for donors. The program engages donors giving entry level one-time and recurring gifts (monthly, quarterly, or annually), and provides the pipeline into the entire individual giving pyramid (Midlevel, Major Gifts, Principal Gifts, and Planned Giving programs).
The mass program underwent high growth over the last 5 years due to socially relevant emergencies. The current goal is to optimize and grow donor acquisition and recurring giving programs by acquiring new and more diverse donors across channels, retaining existing donors, improving donor lifecycle, innovating and driving efficiencies across all areas.
The program works in partnership with other audience leads, an internal Integrated Channel Marketing team, a Research and Data Analytics team and a Development Operations Team.
