Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide advice and assist in the development, implementation and on-going support of policies, processes and systems required to ensure the department meets its obligations under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) and section 264 of the Public Sector Act 2022.
• Prepare written responses, reports, dashboards and other tasks relating to the management of personal information, compliance audits and TMR’s complaints management framework.
• Co-ordinate the review of administrative procedures and polices affected by the IP Act and other relevant legislation with a view to recommending and implementing best practice improvements with privacy and complaint management.
• Assist with the development and delivery of training sessions and resources, as well assisting in the identification of the on-going educational needs of departmental officers in relation to information privacy and complaints management.
• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders and represent the department by establishing strategic relationships with other state and local government agencies, including the Office of the Information Commissioner and Queensland Ombudsman.
