Anzac Day in London

5.00 AM – Dawn Service, New Zealand Memorial, Hyde Park Corner
The main service will take place in front of the New Zealand Memorial at Hyde Park Corner. At the conclusion of the service wreaths will then also be laid at the Australian War Memorial. The service lasts approximately 45 minutes and is a non-ticketed event open to the public.
We request that you keep bags to a minimum and, to avoid delays, do not bring any large items. Please check this page closer to the time for further information on the location of the entry point to the site, and suggested arrival timings.
11.00 AM – Wreath Laying Ceremony and Parade, The Cenotaph, Whitehall (ticket required)
Please note: This is a ticketed service – there are a small number of tickets available, by ballot, for the public to enter a secure area for better viewing of the Ceremony.
Following a march onto Whitehall, at 11.00 AM the High Commissioners for New Zealand and Australia lay the first wreaths. They are followed by representatives of the UK Government, High Commissioners and Ambassadors, as well as representatives from various service and ex-service organisations.
Arrival should be prior to 10.30 AM, the service will conclude at approximately 11.20 AM, allowing time for the short walk to Westminster Abbey for the Anzac Commemorative Service.
You are able to either attend and observe the ceremony, or march in the Parade – please note that all are welcome to march, and it is not restricted only to service and ex-service people.
12.00 PM – Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving, Westminster Abbey (ticket required)
On completion of the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Cenotaph, there is a Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving to mark Anzac Day at Westminster Abbey at 12.00 PM. Guests must be seated in the Abbey by 11.45 AM. The service is approximately one hour long.
Complimentary tickets, issued by ballot, are required to attend this service.
