Born Global : February 2021

Hello friend,

In a turnaround from last year, we’re starting 2021 with optimism here in Australia. As all countries wrestled with the trade-offs of protecting health and the economy, we have seen that as long as travel is restricted, our network of Australians around the globe is more valuable than ever.

In this issue, we share with you stories from inspiring Australians living in Singapore, Africa, the USA and Germany – building their impact and giving back in ways that we think are worth talking about.

On that note, we kick off the 2021 Advance Awards this week! Please nominate a global Australian or an alumni of an Australian university who has forged their career overseas and is doing their bit to change the world.

Above all, we are here to support your journey. If you recently returned or are returning to Australia soon, you are invited to join us for a digital coffee hour next month to access our powerful network and smooth your transition back to Oz.

As always, we appreciate your support of Advance.org. We believe it is important for Australia to stay in touch with our expats and overseas student alumni. You are a huge asset for Australia as we work together to exit from this COVID slowdown.

With my best regards,
Yasmin Allen
Chairman | Advance.org
