The Sustainability category awards individuals who are doing exciting things in the sustainability space such as developing products, designing processes or creating services that use less material and/or energy, generate less waste and/or cause less environmental damage than their alternatives. This includes wind power, solar power, biomass, hydropower, biofuels, recycling, green transportation, energy efficiency, or water purification.    

Please note that this category was referred to as Clean Technology until it was renamed in 2017.
