Sumir serves as the database officer and is responsible for managing the Advance website and social media channels. His role coincides with his passion to utilize the latest technologies to create positive social change and help organisations to maximise their impact.

Prior to working at Advance, Sumir has worked for several international non-profits including the World Affairs Council and the Business Council on Climate Change.

Sumir hails from San Francisco, has lived in Brisbane, and his travels have included Latin America, Western Europe, South Pacific, and Asia.  

When he’s not tweeting or posting web content for Advance he enjoys surfing, traveling, trying to catch the latest ethnic food truck, and going on adventures with his dog, Caesar.

Sumir holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from California Polytechnic University and a Master of International Studies from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
