Inaugural DC Area School Footy Tournament

The Baltimore Washington Eagles are hosting the inaugural DC Area School Footy Tournament. The tournament is for boys and girls in grade 3 to 6. There will also be a free clinic to boys and girls aged 5 to 8 who are not participating in the tournament. Boys and girls in the higher grades are encouraged to participate by assisting with coaching and umpiring (no experience necessary). [More...]

Over the last quarter of a century distinguished ceramicist Pippin Drysdale has been refining her sculptural forms, her materials and her colour palette to create a unique body of work that explores the Australian landscape. Drysdale's exhibition Tanami Mapping features nearly 100 vessels and closed forms that evoke the topography of anthills, mountain ranges, tumbling tracts of spinifex and rocky protuberances that spring from the red soil of the Australian desert.  [More...]

 

 

 
 
 
 
Paul Cooper grew up in Western Australia and travelled to the U.S. five years ago, after being awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He now works at George Mason University as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry.
