CATHY CONSTABLE
Cathy Constable is a researcher and professor of geophysics at Scripps Institute of Oceanography in San Diego. Her research focuses on the earth’s magnetic field and how it changes over time. Cathy moved to WA from Scotland as a child. She attended a Perth high school and went on to study at UWA before the travel bug hit again.

Cathy believes studying the earth’s past can help address the impact humans are having on the planet.

I came to the US in 1983 to do a PhD in geophysics at the University of California in San Diego. At the time my husband and I thought we would only stay long enough for me to get my degree but we’re still here working in the same place. [More...]
