Director, National Art School Sydney
Job Description
The National Art School, situated at the old Darlinghurst Gaol, has produced a high profile alumni and links to artistic communities locally and internationally. Responsible for positioning the National Art School as the pre-eminent art training institution in Australia, the Director will lead the School, balancing artistic excellence and the uniqueness of its teaching methodology with further developing its commercial viability.
Ideally you will be able to leverage your strong corporate network and extensive contacts within the wider Australian and international fine arts community. Essential is the ability to manage the expectations of a diverse range of stakeholders and supporters, demonstrating exceptional influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

The Position:

Direct the School’s artistic integrity, its educational merit and unique method of teaching, raising the profile of the School’s range of qualifications■
Identify potential new sources of revenue, sympathetic with the ethos of the School■
Drive the optimal use of campus facilities, lead a team of professional teaching artists and maintain strong links with the arts communityRequired Experience:
