Head of Capital, Provisioning & Portfolio Reporting

Job Description

The ANZ National Bank (ANZ NB) Risk Management function will enable the Bank to protect and grow the business through providing innovative and responsible risk solutions. The Head of Capital, Provisioning & Portfolio Reporting is a pivotal role in supporting the bank’s risk management strategy to achieve a commercial focus and enhance the credit risk and return trade-off.

This role is responsible for:

Delivery (compilation, analysis and presentation) of fully compliant risk weighted portfolio and capital information for the Bank that meets required Regulator and financial specifications
Providing Bank Executive level strategic risk analysis/commentary about the effects or impacts of credit risk information and issues on the Bank’s strategic direction, financial performance, asset writing strategies etc
Problem solving and proactive decision making on credit risk issues that support the Bank’s strategy
Presentation to internal and external bodies (e.g. Ratings Agencies, Regulators, Analysts, Auditors) on the Bank’s results, strategy or approach in relation to credit risk information and issues
Governance — ensuring internal, external and portfolio level compliance requirements are fully met to protect the organisation’s banking Licence
Liaison with key stakeholders (e.g. NZ Finance) on all aspects of Risk reporting and analysis
Leading the Risk Reporting function to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the highest quality risk weighted information and credit risk analysis with a financial context to support the Bank’s credit risk strategy and direction
Development and management of a Risk Data Quality Framework
