Ken Allen AM
Chairman Emeritus
Ken Allen is currently a Senior Advisor to UBS Asia Pacific and Lexington Partners, Chairman of Talent2, Director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Chair Emeritus of Advance, the world's leading network of Australian professionals and entrepreneurs abroad. Prior to returning to Sydney in April 2006, Ken was the Australian Consul General in New York, representing Australia's interests in the United States and deepening the investment, commercial, cultural and sporting links between the two countries. Ken's major focus was the positioning of Australia as a global financial centre and he played an active role in the signing of the Australis / US Free Trade Agreement.
Graduating from the University of Adelaide with an Honours Degree in Economics, Ken joined Unilever and worked in Sydney and London in various marketing roles, before joining Slater Walker Australia. Ken started his banking career with the World Bank in Washington DC, later moving to New York with Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for establishing their investment bank in Australia, pre-empting his subsequent role with Lehman Brothers overseeing a similar strategic move. In 1991, Ken joined County NatWest and more recently, he was a Senior Director with Macquarie Bank.
Ken has served on the Boards of the NSW Treasury Corporation, the State Bank of New South Wales, the Film Finance Corporation of Australia, Omnicom, Australia Post and The China Institute in New York. He became a Member of the Order of Australia for service to the business and finance sectors, to international relations, and to the community through fundraising for charitable organisations. Ken was a Pilot Officer in the RAAF, University of Adelaide Squadron. Ken and his wife, Jill, have three sons and eight grandchildren
Christopher Aitken

Chris Aitken is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development with LECG Corporation (NASDAQ:XPRT), a leading global expert services firm that provides independent expert testimony and analysis, original authoritative studies, and strategic advisory services. He has more than ten years of experience addressing corporate and business unit strategy issues with a particular focus on customer profitability and retention, product/service portfolio optimization, and market entry strategy. He also has extensive experience advising senior management teams on customer relationship management issues, business process improvements, and business issues. His clients have ranged from Fortune 500 to start-up organizations in the professional services, financial services, high technology, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Prior to joining LECG, Chris held partner-level roles at Andersen and BearingPoint, (formerly known as KPMG Consulting), where he led each firm’s strategy consulting practice in the United States. Before Andersen, he was an Associate Lecturer in the School of Information Systems at the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia).
Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Information Systems and Finance from the University of New South Wales where he graduated with first class honours and was awarded the University Medal.
Rosalind Coffey

Rosalind Coffey is based in Hong Kong as Managing Director of Human Resources for Nomura, a position she undertook after moving from HR Director at Barclays Capital, New York, following the purchase of Lehman Brothers’ US business in September 2008. Prior to this Ros was Global Human Resources Director for Principal Investing, Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Expense & Sourcing Services, Change Management and Global Data Management divisions of Lehman Brothers. She had responsibility for a global client base of approximately 3,500 individuals in all aspects of human capital management, career development, training and performance management.
Ros joined Lehman Brothers in 2002 as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Finance Division, reporting directly to the then Chief Financial Officer, Dave Goldfarb. In this role she was responsible for working with groups such as Technology, Facilities, Human Resources, Recruiting, Leadership & Learning and Corporate Security to service the Finance division. She served as the “right hand” to the Chief Financial Officer for all organizational issues relating to the Finance Division and was responsible for the global Finance business plan and budget.
Her role in the organizational management of the division included implementing a global career mobility program, creating a training and development program, advancing the Finance full-time and summer Analyst programs, enhancing global communication and building a strong culture of feedback and performance management.
Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Ros was the Director of the Financial Services practice of Michael Page International, a leading global executive recruitment firm. She was a founding member of Michael Page International’s New York operation, and had complete responsibility for building this business from its inception. Her clients covered all facets of the financial services sector including investment banks, broker dealers, brokers, insurance firms, wholesale banks, asset managers and private banks.
Earlier in her career Ros worked at Salomon Brothers, London and Esso, Australia. She spent two years traveling throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Ros holds a Bachelor of Economics degree with Majors in Accounting, Economics and Commercial Law from The University of Sydney, Australia.
Dr. John Cullity
Board Member, National Representative Advance Life Science Network, New York
John is a Principal at Torreya Partners, a boutique advisory firm in the life sciences sector providing services in M&A, licensing, and financing services. Most recently he was Senior Director of Business Development at sanofi-aventis Pharmaceuticals in Bridgewater, New Jersey where he co-ordinated sanofi-aventis’ business development activities in oncology, diabetes, CNS and rheumatology. During his tenure, John identified assets leading to transactions with net value of approximately $1 billion. Building on his considerable interest in the venture capital and private equity sectors, John established working relationships with leading US-based life science venture and private equity firms. Prior to that, John led sanofi aventis’ strategic pricing department assuming responsibility for price management of the company’s $US15 billion market portfolio including brands such as Plavix, Lovenox, Ambien, Eloxatin, Taxotere and Lantus. Additionally he was responsible for placing provisional price points on developmental assets in Phase 2-3 settings. John founded the strategic pricing unit and directed oncology health economics at Schering-Plough. He has also worked for AT Kearney Management Consulting, The World Bank, World Health Organization and, over a five year period, as a clinician at teaching hospitals both in the UK and Australia.
John holds an M.B.A. from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, M.Sc. (Econs) from London School of Economics, Internal Medicine Boards from the Royal College of Physicians UK, and received his primary medical degree from the University of Western Australia.
