Katrina Ferguson, was born in Sydney where she completed a three year Conservatory program at the Ensemble Theatre Studios. Her modeling career was launched after winning runner-up in the Miss Pacific contest. Later on she decided to take a break from acting and after working in Sydney as a model, she moved to New York via London and Dallas. Throughout her modeling career she traveled extensively, working in New York, LA, San Francisco and Chicago. She returned to acting when she started to take some classes in New York. Soon after that, she auditioned and was cast in a bus & truck tour of the U.S. for The National Shakespeare Company. [More...]

Shining Stars and National Treasures - Launch of Revolving Doors Series in Sydney
Advance was pleased to host the first of our Revolving Doors events in Sydney in August 2007 at the Mitchell Library. Regina Sutton, CEO of the State Library, an expat herself, welcomed the group and offered some reflections on the value of a network for returning Australians.
In addition to viewing the national treasures, guests enjoyed a presentation by one of Australia’s shining stars in the world of advertising, Matt Eastwood, currently National Creative Director/Vice Chairman of DDB Australia. Matt, who was identified by Britain’s Campaign Magazine as “one of the industry's unicorns - a young, proven talent, capable of inspiring and managing a large agency creative department”, has overseen some of the most innovative and recognizable creative projects in advertising today.
