Message from the Premier of New South Wales, The Hon Morris Iemma MP
The New South Wales government is proud to be associated with the Advance network. It helps keep expats in touch with all the latest in the State and promotes our talented people overseas. It showcases developments in New South Wales and the dynamic business and cultural environment here.
Australian professionals are making their mark throughout the world. Our talented people are leaders in business, IT, finance, sports, the arts, and many other areas of expertise. They also build goodwill and exciting connections with other achievers around the world.
Here in Australia’s top business location, we want to showcase Sydney and NSW for foreign nationals and expats from all around Australia who are considering opportunities here. Sydney is Australia’s finance capital and a key regional financial hub in the Asia Pacific. Half of the top 500 companies are located here and over 600 multinational companies run their Asia Pacific operations from Sydney.
Our expatriates play a vital role in promoting the many positive aspects of our State, not only through their hard work, but by putting a human face on what NSW is all about.
When Sydneysiders return home they often do so for family and lifestyle reasons – but they also find Sydney equally rich in business and technology opportunities and enjoy the sophistication of life here in New South Wales.
The Hon. Morris Iemma MP
Premier of NSW
Minister for State Development
