Australia’s Endeavour Awards 2014 open for applications

Applications are now open for the 2014 round of the Australia Awards Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships.

Part of the broader Australia Awards initiative, the Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships provide opportunities for citizens of Hong Kong and Macau to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia and for Australians to do the same overseas.

Generous scholarships are on offer which can provide funding for up to four years of study up to PhD level. The scholarships can also fund research projects and vocational training for professionals.

Australian Consul-General, Mr Paul Tighe, says the Endeavour Awards are more than simple scholarships. He said they help foster future political, business, and community leaders and, in turn, help to strengthen Australia’s links with this region.

“Australia is internationally recognised for its high quality education and its leading position in research and innovation. We hope that through these awards more Hong Kong and Macau citizens can experience the best of Australian education,” Mr Tighe added.

Hong Kong and Macau citizens can apply for the following scholarships:

The top 20 ranked doctoral applicants for the Endeavour Postgraduate Award from 10 Asian countries and regions, including Hong Kong and Macau, could qualify for the Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Incoming Postgraduate Award.
